ShrinkDocs™ and Doc Wizard™ are wholly owned trademarks and services of Trinity Counseling Center, LLC, 815 E Jackson Street, Medford, OR 97504. All references to and terms relating to ShrinkDocs™ and/or Doc Wizard™ shall encompass and apply to such services and Trinity Counseling Center, LLC as one and the same.
ShrinkDocs™ provides a HIPAA-compliant clinical EHR for therapists and mental health professionals. As part of our patient care services, healthcare providers may send SMS text messages to patients for appointment reminders, session feedback requests, and care-related communications.
How Patients Opt-In
Patients provide consent to receive SMS text messages during the patient intake process within the ShrinkDocs™ platform. When completing their intake form, patients are presented with an optional checkbox containing the following consent language:
Consent is entirely optional and is not required to receive treatment. Patients who do not check this box will not receive any SMS communications.

Message Types
Patients who opt-in may receive the following types of messages:
- Appointment reminders
- Session feedback requests
- Care-related communications from their healthcare provider
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the patient's appointment schedule and their healthcare provider's communication preferences. Typically, patients receive 1-4 messages per month.
Opting Out
Patients may opt out of SMS communications at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message
- Updating their preferences in the Patient Portal
- Contacting their healthcare provider directly
After opting out, patients will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS communications unless they opt in again.

Patients may reply HELP to any message for assistance, call (855) 513-8835, or contact their healthcare provider directly with questions about SMS communications.
Costs
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on the patient's mobile carrier and plan. ShrinkDocs™ does not charge for SMS messages.
Privacy
Patient phone numbers and SMS consent status are stored securely in our HIPAA-compliant system. We do not sell, rent, or share patient contact information or SMS opt-in consent data with third parties for marketing purposes.
